The Cog Hill Golf Association would like to welcome all players to our new website. The CHGA is an independent non-profit organization and maintains all handicap enrollments, maintenance and acts as the Handicap Committee for Cog Hill Golf & CC.
The CHGA offers a Full Membership which includes:
- A ticket to our spring and fall dinners to be held on April 20th and October 12th.
- An official USGA Handicap for 2009 including the CDGA magazine.
- One Free round of golf on Courses 1, 2 or 3 (weekday non-holiday) courtesy of the Jemsek family.
- Membership into our Hole in One Club which awards a $500 gift certificate if made during a club event.
(In 2008, Tom McGrath scored a hole in one on Course # 3 – Hole # 1)
- An annual CHGA gift.
- Eligible to compete in CHGA club events. Over $13,500 in gift certificate prizes were awarded in 12 events.
A new monthly event where weekend players play during their normal tee time slot and are randomly paired (by a drawing) with another player to compete for prizes.
Club events include: Two and Four person team events with various formats of play which include:
(Scrambles, Net Best Ball, Alternate Shot, Medley-combination of 3 formats)
Club Championships:
Match Play (Flighted and handicaps are used),
36 hole Net Medal Play (Flighted and handicaps are used)
54 hole Senior and 72 hole Open Division Championship (without handicaps)
A list of the 2009 events and results from 2008 are posted by the handicap computers located in the main clubhouse and are available on our website. Full members may register for club events on line or in the 1/3 Pro Shop.
To become a Full Member, complete the application on the reverse side of this letter and attach your check for $135 made payable to the COG HILL GOLF ASSOCIATION. Applications may be sent to the post office box listed above OR dropped off at either Pro Shop or the Main Clubhouse. ATTN: Bob Doe.
The CHGA also provides an Associate Membership for $27, ($30 after May 1st) which entitles you to a USGA handicap. Associate members who had a handicap in 2008 may also renew their 2009 handicaps using the Chicago District Golf Association (CDGA) web site at (cdga.org).
Note: All new handicap members will be added to the CDGA - EZ Links handicap system weekly. Your CDGA number will be listed on the master handicap list located next to the handicap computers in both the 2/4 Pro Shop or in Dub’s Pub located downstairs in the main clubhouse. This number is needed to begin entering scores.
Each player is responsible for posting all scores. Players not posting all scores in a timely manner are subject to disqualification from club events. Scores may be posted on either the handicap computer located in the 2/4 Pro Shop or in Dub’s Pub. In addition, players may post scores via the CDGA web site. (CDGA.org) Questions on how to enter scores from the CDGA web site may be directed to the Chicago District Golf Association at (630) 257-2005.
