Each team will consist of one player from each of the following proposed handicap ranges.

(0-9), (10-14), (15-19), (20+).  For the 3 player Scramble portion all shots must be played within one club length of the shot selected for play and maybe placed.  You must keep any hazard between the original spot and the hole.  If the ball is in the rough, the shot must be played from the rough. The player who is the Red Dog must play the ball as it lies.

Format of play: One player is designated as the “Red Dog” for each hole as follows:                         Lowest Handicap Player (Holes 1,5,9,13,17) 2nd Lowest Handicap Player (Holes 2,6,10,14,18) 3rd Lowest Handicap Player (Holes 3,7,11,15) Highest Handicap Player (Holes 4,8,12,16)

Their NET SCORE will be used as one of the “team scores”. The other 3 players will play the hole in a scramble format using the best shot. Their score will also be used as a “team score”. 2 SCORES are used for the “Team Score” for each hole and are recorded.

Post the 2 lowest NET SCORES on the lines indicated.  These are the Team Scores.

MATCH PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP (USGA Match Play Rules Apply unless noted.)

At the conclusion of each match the name of the winning player must be posted. On Match Play Day, the pairings will be displayed on the scoreboard by the 1/3 Pro Shop. Call you next opponent ASAP to arrange the 2nd round match. I have tried to pair players with their next round opponent for today’s match. All scores for Match Play must be posted as Tournament Scores (with a T) as according to USGA guidelines.

Please verify your phone # and make any changes if necessary. Provide any additional contact number. Players not posting scores in a timely manner are subject to disqualification.

The difference between each player’s handicaps will determine the number of strokes that the lower handicap player must give to his opponent. An example of this is a 12 handicap versus a 16 handicap. The 16-handicap player would receive one shot on the first 4 handicap holes as determined by the scorecard and tee. Be sure the most recent score card is used that reflects the new handicap hole ratings. (Subject to change) All matches may be played on ANY COURSE that the 2 players agree upon.  Typically Course’s 1,2 or 3 are used. Other area course may be used if both players agree. All matches will be determined after 18 holes. In the event of a tie after 18 holes the players will play a SUDDEN DEATH PLAYOFF. The playoff should begin on the 1st hole unless otherwise directed by the course starter.  Explain the reason to the starter for the extra hole needing to be played due to the playoff.  The same number of strokes will apply based on the player’s handicap for the playoff.

ALL MATCHES MUST BE COMPLETED BY THE DEADLINE . If any participant(s) cannot play their match in the time period allowed, the Tournament Committee will determine the winner of the match. Both players may be disqualified.

2 - PERSON NET BEST BALL TOURNAMENT RULES

All players must post their own score as a Tournament score on the handicap computer system. Players not posting scores are subject to handicap adjustment or disqualification from future events. All players will play their own ball on every hole. The Gross Score (actual score) must be posted for each player. The Best Ball Team score must be entered on a separate line. If a player is out of the hole, please pick up to keep up the pace of play.

GENERAL RULES:      (USGA Rules Apply unless noted.) ALL Flights will play from the BLACK tees.  Ladies will use RED tees. Handicaps have been adjusted for the tees. A free drop “no closer to the hole” is allowed from any area under construction or is under repaired. The player has the  option to take or not to take a drop from the area designated.  Damage from carts or cart paths may take a free drop as well. Lies from “burned out” areas are not considered under repair. Consult your partners before taking any drop. Player’s may rake and place the ball in the same location in the sand trap.  If the sand trap is under water, then the ball should be played from the closest point of relief.  The ball must be played from the sand trap.

2 PERSON ALTERNATE SHOT

A minimum of 7 drives from each player is required. The teams must indicate on the scorecard which players drive is used. All Flights, both player’s (A) & (B) will tee off on every hole. All Flights, Player (A) will hit player (B)'s second shot and player (B) will hit player (A)'s second shot. For Flight 1, after both players have played the second shot, the team must decide which ball will remain in play. If player (A)'s second shot is used, then player (B) will hit the third shot, player (A) will hit the fourth shot and the team will alternate shots until they have holed out. (New for Flights 2 & 3) after playing their 2nd shot, each player will follow this shot by also playing the 3rd shot. After both players have played the third shot, the team must decide which ball will remain in play. If player (A)'s third shot is used, then player (B) will hit the fourth shot, player (A) will hit the fifth shot and the team will alternate shots until they have holed out.

Players will still alternate even if there is any penalty. Example: (out of bounds, water hazard). If player (A) hits into the hazard, then player (B) will play the next shot, even if a drop is made. Players may use their own ball once they have reached the putting surface.

ANY TEAM PLAYER HITTING 2 CONSECUTIVE SHOTS (unless noted for Flights 2 & 3) WILL BE ASSESSED A ONE (1) SHOT PENALTY THE BALL MUST BE REPLACED AND PLAYED BY THE CORRECT PLAYER.
