COG HILL GOLF ASSOCIATION 2010 SCHEDULE A NOTICE TO SIGN UP FOR THE EVENT WILL BE POSTED BY THE COMPUTERS 2-3 WEEKS PRIOR TO EACH EVENT. Sign up sheets will be in the Pro Shop or players can sign up on line at CHGA.org. Players may select their partners for the 2-Person events. Single Players will be paired up for all 2-Person Events.
COG HILL GOLF ASSOCIATION CLUB EVENTSA notice will be posted by the handicap computers located in the 2/4 Pro Shop and downstairs in the Main Clubhouse when sign-up begins for an event. The notice is posted approximately 3 weeks prior to the event date. Players must sign-up for the events in the 1 / 3 Pro Shop or on line at CHGA.org. Players must register on the website and be sure to receive a confirmation e-mail that you are registered. A late fee of $5 will be assessed for paying on the day of the event. Tee times will be provided to Cog Hill (Front Desk and 1/3 Pro Shop) and posted on the website 3 days prior to the event. Cog Hill’s telephone # is (630) 257-5872.Players making a special request for an early or late tee time must pay their entry fee prior to the day of the event. Those players not pre-paying their entry fee, will not be guaranteed their request being honored. Questions regarding any event may be directed to Bob Doe or the Tournament Chairman. BLIND DRAW MONTHLY EVENT: This event allows for players who play on either Saturday or Sunday on Courses 1, 2, 3 or 4. Players will play during their normal tee times. They must signup and pay a $5 entry fee in the 1/3 Pro Shop prior to playing their round. At the conclusion of the round, players must turn in their score card, signed and attested by another player in their group. In addition, players must post their score into the handicap system as a tournament score. Formats each month will vary and consist of a 2-person team where full handicaps are used. The team pairings will be conducted by a Blind Draw after all entries have been received. The full entry fees received will go towards prize money to the winners. The formats will be a variety of Best Ball (with full handicaps). Examples are 1 best ball for the team, 2 best ball, best ball on even or odd numbered holes. Winners will be posted by the computers or on the CHGA website. 2 and 4 Person Events (Winning Scores from 2009) Note: All events have closest to the pin prizes as well.
* President Scramble – (4 person team) 64, 64, 65 * Memorial Medley – A Flight (60, 62, 65), B Flight (61,61,62,63,63) * Alternate Shot - A (64, 65 2 teams tied), B Flight (63 2 teams tied, 64 2 teams tied * Net Best Ball - A (62,64), B Flight (64, 65), C Flight (59,60,61) * Modified Stableford - A Flight (18 pts, 11 pts) B Flight (24 pts, 17 pts) C Flight (20 pts, 13 pts) Points awarded based on Net Score on each hole. * Scramble (2 – Person) - A Flight (62, 63) B (59,60) C (57,58) Note: (*) 2 Person team event. Players may choose their own partner. Single players will be paired up with another player with a similar handicap. The tournament committee will form all 4 Person team events. Players must have an established handicap to compete in the events with the exception of the President’s Scramble. Club Championships
Match Play Championship – 3 to 4 Flights using full handicaps. Net Medal Play Championship - This is a 36-hole event and also determines the qualifiers for the Senior and Open Club Championship. 2009 Net Medal Scores: A Flight (135, 135, 139, 139), B Flight (136, 136, 141, 142), C Flight (127, 135,139, 140) Senior Club Championship – Ages 55 + Gross Scores (no handicap) 2009 Scores (235, 235, 236) Courses 1, 2 and 3. Open Club Championship – 2009 Gross Scores (298, 303, 308, 310) Courses 1,3, then Course 2 and 4. Special Match Play Notice: Players entering into this event will be required to play their matches by the scheduled completion date. A request to extend this date must be made to the Tournament Chairman as soon as possible. If a player or players can not schedule a date within 1 week, the Tournament Committee may determine the winner by declaring a forfeiture or disqualification of one or both players. Players not playing their first round on Match Play Day must play their first match by within 2 weeks or be subject to an automatic default.
